Set the throttle grip to “START” po-
sition.

Pull the choke knob fully.

Note
Choke is not necessary when the
engine is warm. Set the throttle grip to
"RE-START" position.
Note
If engine does not start with 4 or 5
times starting operation, push the
knob back and restart.
R type

Pull the starter handle slowly until
you feel engagement, keep pulling
till you feel less resistance. Then
pull it quickly.
Repeat if necessary until started.

When starting the engine, push the
choke knob back.

TE and TP type

Push the starter switch button.

Release the button when the en-
gine has started.

When starting the engine, push the
choke knob back.
