Be careful that your clothes or other
items do not get caught in the rotating
engine parts.
To prevent accident and injury, do not
re-attach the recoil starter after the
engine has been started using the
emergency starter rope. Be sure to put
the top cowl back on.
Immediately contact an authorized
service shop when reaching shore.

Whenthemotor starts, pushthe
chokeknob back. (inthecasethe
chokeknobisused.)
Note
When warming up the engine in cold
weather , set the choke knob to half
opened position if necessary.
Note
In-gear starting of engine will move
the boat immediately, potentially
leading to falling down or causing
passenger(s) to be thrown overboard.
If the recoil starter fails to operate

Remove the top cowl and the recoil
starter. Wrap a rope around the
starter pulley then pull quickly to
start.

Use a 10 mm socket wrench as a
rope handle.
