5.2.NICTeaming
You can combine or aggregate the ports of a particular network interface card on the Xeebra server, in
order to increase the throughput beyond that of a single connection and to provide redundancy in case
one of the links should fail.
The following ports can be teamed:
2 1GbE ports used for the control network
To configure the teaming, proceed as follows:
1. Open a terminal window on your Xeebra server and launch the following script :
sudo /opt/evs/support/bin/configure_teaming.py
The following menu will appear:
Select expected operation:
1. Add teaming
2. Remove teaming
Please enter your choice:
2. Type 1.
A list with available network ports will be listed. In the example below, 2 network ports are listed.
1) eno1
2) eno2
Please confirm which device number to add:
3. Enter the number of the port you want to team. For example, 1.
The name of the port will be added to the team.
Current selection: [eno1]
1) eno1
2) eno2
ENTER for Selection complete
Please confirm which device number to add:
4. Add a second port you want to team. For example, 2.
The name of the teamed ports will be displayed.
Current selection: [eno1, eno2]
1) eno1
2) eno2
ENTER for Selection complete
