2.Engagethebrakelever(leverup).Thespace
betweenthebrakespringbracketandthenyloc
nutunderthespringshouldmeasure1/8inchto
3/16inch(3.2–4.8mm).
3.Ifadjustmentisnecessary,loosenjamnutabove
thetrunnionroller.Adjustthenylocnutunder
thetrunnionrolleruntildistancelistedabove
existsbetweenthespringretainerbracketandthe
adjacentnylocnut.Tightenthejamnutabove
thetrunnionroller.
4.Ifthecorrectgapcannolongerbeachieved
becausethereisnoclearancebetweenthenyloc
nutbelowthespringandthejamnutabove
thetrunnionortherearenothreadsleftonthe
bottomnylocnut,thelengthofthebrakerodcan
beadjusted.Removeapinfromayokeateither
endofthebrakerodandlengthen(orshorten)the
brakeroduntilthecorrectgapcanbeachievedby
followingsteps2and3.

Adjustment
1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removekey.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Unhookseatlatchandtiltseatforward.
3.Beginwitheithertheleftorrightmotioncontrol
lever.Movelevertotheneutralpositionandpull
leverbackuntiltheclevispin(onarmbelowpivot
shaft)contactstheendoftheslot(justbeginning
toputpressureonspring).(Figure20).
4.Checkwhereleverisrelativetonotchinconsole
(shouldbecenteredallowinglevertopivot
outwardtotheneutrallockposition).
5.Ifadjustmentisneeded,loosenthenutagainstthe
yokeandwhileapplyingslightrearwardpressure
onthemotioncontrollever,turntheheadofthe
adjustmentboltintheappropriatedirectionuntil
leveriscentered(keepingrearwardpressureon
theleverwillkeepthepinattheendoftheslot
andallowtheadjustmentbolttomovethelever
totheappropriateposition).Tightenlocknut.
