Thethrottleisusedtocontrolenginespeed.Moving
thethrottleleverforwardwillincreaseenginespeed
andmovingthethrottlelevertotherearwilldecrease
enginespeed.Movingthethrottleforwardintothe
detentisfullthrottle.
ParkBrakeHandle
Locatedontherightsideoftheignitionswitchon
thecontrolconsole(seeFigure5).
Thebrakehandleengagesaparkingbrakeinthe
transmissions.
Toengagethebrake,pullhandleoutandslide
rearward.
Torelease,pushthehandleforwardintothedetent.
Whenparkingonasteepslope,thewheelsmustbe
chockedorblockedinadditiontothebrakebeing
engaged.Theunitmustbetieddownandbrake
engagedwhentransporting.
IgnitionSwitch
Locatedontherightsideofthecontrolconsole(see
Figure5).
Theignitionswitchisusedtostartandstopthe
engine.Theswitchhasthreepositions“OFF”,“ON”
and“START”.Insertkeyintoswitchandrotate
clockwisetothe“ON”position.Rotateclockwiseto
thenextpositiontoengagethestarter(keymustbe
heldagainstspringpressureinthisposition).Allow
thekeytoreturntothe“ON”positionimmediately
aftertheenginestarts.

Thefuelshut-offvalveisusedtoshutoffthefuel
whenthemachinewillnotbeusedforafewdays,
duringtransporttoandfromthejobsite,andwhen
parkedinsideabuilding.
Alignvalvehandlewiththefuellinetoopen.Rotate
90°toclose.
