Whenthelowbatteryicon appearsontheLCD,thebatteriesmustbereplaced.Several
hoursofaccuratereadingsarestillpossibleinthiscondition;howeverbatteriesshouldbe
replacedassoonaspossible:
 Removethetwo(2)Phillipsscrewsfromtherearofthemeter.
 Removeandsafelyplacethebatterycompartmentandscrewswheretheywillnotbelost.
 Replacetheeight(8)1.5V‘AA’batteriesobservingpolarity.
 Replacethebatterycompartmentcoverwiththetwo(2)Phillipsscrews.
BatterySafetyReminders
 Neverdisposeofbatteriesinafire.Batteriesmayexplodeorleak.
 Nevermixbatterytypes.Alwaysinstallnewbatteriesofthesametype.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotake usedbatteriestoappropriate 
collectionsites,theretailstorewherethebatterieswerepurchased,orwherever
batteriesaresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuserisobligated
totakeend‐of‐lifedevicestoadesignatedcollectionpointforthedisposalof
electricalandelectronicequipment.
