3- MAINTENANCE AND PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES
3.1 GENERAL REMARKS WITH REGARD TO FACNOR FURLING SYSTEM:
Simple to assemble: no mast unstepping, no section cutting, no drilling
The FACNOR headsail furling system is one of the easiest to install:
- it does not require unstepping the mast
- under most circumstances you will not need to cut any section on account of the
patented Facnor telescopic section.
- no drilling is necessary.
Easy maintenance : rinsing
The LS+/LX+/RX+ furling systems do not
require any specific maintenance as the drum
and the swivel are fitted with Torlon
®
bearings
(identification sticker see against).
Rinse the furling system several times each season.
Because of corrosive salt deposits it is necessary to prevent from salt accumulation by
regularly cleaning the mechanisms with fresh water in order to guarantee a long life to your
equipment.
