2. Overview
The Lumina 71 is ideally suited for multi-phase feeding. The main objectives of multi-phase feeding are:
• Supplying the right amount of feed in the right composition at every feeding cycle. The composition and amount
are based on the animals’ life cycle.
• If the feed composition is changed, a gradually transition will take place from one type of feed to the next.
The figure below shows a feed installation with a transport route and circuit. The feed is placed on the route / circuit
from the weigher/blender and transported to the feed place. By opening the right feed valve, feed is released into the
relevant trough.
