Hardware Installation Guide

STEP1: Open the enclosure

Open the hard drive enclosure to reveal its internal structure.

STEP2: Connect the HDD SATA connector

Connect the HDD to the electronic board, ensuring the SATA connector is properly seated.

STEP3: Secure the HDD

Screw the HDD onto the tray or use the provided fixing pad for stability.

STEP4: Close the enclosure

Close the enclosure and secure the rear cover with screws.

HDD Formatting Guide

STEP1: Access Disk Management

Right-click "My Computer" and select "Manage" to open system tools.

STEP2: Identify the unallocated drive

Locate the external HDD in Disk Management, which should appear as "Unallocated".

STEP3: Create a new partition

Right-click the unallocated space and select "New Partition".

STEP4: Follow the New Partition Wizard

Proceed through the wizard steps to configure and create the partition.

STEP5: Verify the new volume

After partitioning, the HDD will be recognized as a "New Volume".

STEP6: Access the new volume

Open "My Computer" to see the newly created volume on your PC.

Download and install the backup utility software from the provided driver CD.

Guide to using the software to create backup plans, select files, and set backup destinations.

Restore Data from FANTEC Device

Click the Restore button

Initiate the data restoration process by clicking the "Restore" button in the software.

Select the restore profile

Choose the desired backup profile and version to restore from the available list.

Select files and target folder

Specify which files to restore and choose the destination folder on your computer.

Enter password if required

Input the password if the backup was encrypted to decrypt the files.

Wait for restore to complete

Allow the restoration process to finish, monitoring the progress.
