Extension in a one apartment of a MULTI-WAY system
To plan a multi-way system with several monitors and/or parallel
intercoms in a one apartment, with or without intercommunicating
service, proceed as follows:
- make a photocopy of the “additional” diagram desired, selecting it
amongst those of pages 50, 51, 52, 53;
- cut vertically the diagram in correspondence to the arrow
;
- put the diagram on the “base” diagram, so as to cover the existing
monitor, then line up the wires of the 2 diagrams;
- if specified in the “additional” diagram, connect the I and A wires to
the terminals of article 1382;
- if the “base” diagram includes the DV video distributor, remember to
connect the terminal + to the terminal 8 of all monitors;
Note. if the intercommunicating service between monitors or systems
is also needed, once the system is on, the user can listen to other
users, who are speaking to the outside.
If such an option is not desired, use the diagrams of page 54 to make
the extension (see the following chapter).
Example: by making a photocopy of the “additional” diagram of page
52 (1 monitor and 2 parallel intercoms), then applying it on to the
installation diagram of page 43 (Si 5350), and lining it up to the riser
wires, it is possible to obtain a multi-way system, with 1 monitor and
2 parallel intercoms in one apartment, connected to 3 external video
stations.
Extension of a MULTI-WAY installation in several apartments
To plan a multi-way system, with several monitors and/or parallel
intercoms, in 2 or more apartments, with or without intercommuni-
cating service, proceed as follows:
- make a photocopy of the “additional” diagram desired, selecting it
amongst those of page 54;
- cut vertically the diagram in correspondence to the arrow
;
- put the diagram on the “base” diagram, so as to cover the existing
monitor, then line up the wires of the 2 diagrams;
- repeat the operations for the application in other apartments;
- if the “base” diagram includes the DV video distributor, remember to
connect the terminal + to the terminal 8 of all monitors;
- to obtain the intercommunicating service, make the connections
which have been drawn with a dashed line.
Example: by making a photocopy of the “additional” diagram of page
54 (1 monitor and 2 parallel intercoms), then applying it on to the
installation diagram of page 43 (Si 5350), and lining it up to the riser
wires, it is possible to obtain a multiway system in one or more
apartments, with 1 monitor and 2 parallel intercoms, connected to 3
external video stations.
