Pump Assembly Continued
Initial Pump Alignment
For horizontally mounted MSD units, pump alignment takes place in two stages; Initial Pump Align-
ment and Final Pump Alignment. The Initial Pump Alignment procedure is used to make the
rough alignment adjustments. The Final Pump Alignment procedure is used to nalize the align-
ment and assembly with the coupling installed. Pump vertical alignment is adjusted by rotating
the precision leveling foot adjustment nuts up and down.
Vertically mounted MSD pumps do not require initial or nal alignment procedures as they do not
utilize precision leveling feet. Please skip these alignment procedures if applicable.
