How to fix foam in the tank and air entrainment in Finn HydroSeeder T170 ML Farm Equipment?
    • K
      Kimberly DavisAug 19, 2025
If you observe foam in the tank and air entrainment in your Finn Farm Equipment, you can try the following: first, reduce the agitator speed as the slurry level decreases in the tank. Second, introduce 2 to 3 oz (6 to 9 cl) of an antifoaming agent into the tank. If a specific additive is causing the issue, add it last, avoid it altogether (unless it’s water), limit recirculation time, and open the pump suction bleed valve to release trapped air, closing it once the air stops.

What to do if my Finn HydroSeeder T170 ML Farm Equipment is plugging or clogging?
    • M
      Martin MorganAug 21, 2025
If your Finn Farm Equipment is experiencing plugging or clogging, immediately disengage the pump clutch and shut down the engine. Then, carefully remove the nozzle and use the cleaning rod (attached to the guard rail's underside) to clear it. If the recirculation system is not working, remove the clamps on each side of the recirculation valve, inspect the valve assembly, the recirculation nozzle in the discharge pipe, and the recirculation pipe leading into the tank for obstructions. Clear any blockages, replace the valve assembly, slide the seals back, and lubricate the seals with grease before reclamping.

To address an obstruction in the sump area of your Finn Farm Equipment, clear the sump by backflushing through the discharge plumbing using the water supply hose. Alternatively, remove the drain plug and use a long pole through the opening to reach into the sump area, remove the obstruction, and then replace the drain cap. You can also use a pipe or pole through the loading hatch opening to dislodge the obstruction.
