How to prevent foam in tank and air entrainment in Finn HydroSeeder T30?
    • B
      Brian WareAug 14, 2025
To address foam in the tank and air entrainment in your Finn Farm Equipment, take these steps: * As the slurry level decreases, reduce the agitator speed. * Add 2 to 3 oz (59 to 89 ml) of an anti-foaming agent to the tank. * If you identify an additive causing the issue, add it last, avoid it altogether (unless it's water). * Minimize recirculation time.

Why is my Finn Seeders foaming and not spraying far?
    • S
      Stephanie OlsonAug 21, 2025
The foaming of the solution and lack of distance in Finn Seeders can be due to several reasons. It could be that the machine is sucking air through the suction line, so check all suction connections and ensure rubber seals are in good shape, greasing them before replacing clamps. Other potential causes include air entrainment, low engine RPM (below 2,750 RPM – No load) which requires checking the throttle cable and linkage, soft water, too much agitation (slow the agitator), a worn pump (reset pump tolerance), a partially plugged suction (clean out machine), a worn or plugged nozzle (clean or replace nozzles), the type of fertilizer being used (change type), or clutch slippage (replace clutch).

What to do if my Finn Seeders pump is having problems?
    • R
      Ryan DouglasAug 27, 2025
Several factors can cause pump issues in Finn Seeders. Using fertilizer with highly abrasive fillers, you should change the fertilizer and avoid abrasive fillers. Other causes include overloading the machine with dry material (load to recommended capacities), allowing too much time between loading and discharging (set agitator at 1/2 speed in reverse and disengage pump after loading and mixing), recirculating all the time (close recirculation valve when discharging through the boom), the pump being frozen (warm housing to melt ice), the pump being jammed with fertilizer or lime (remove cover and clean interior), or the impeller rusted to the suction cover plate (pull cover and remove rust).

Why is my Finn Seeders leaking?
    • F
      Fred SalazarAug 31, 2025
Leaks in Finn Seeders can stem from several causes. These include a lack of lubrication causing a worn seal (replace seal and follow lube schedule), bolts not tightened (tighten uniformly to 25 lb–ft (34 N•m)), a rubber seal that is cracked, pinched, torn, or missing (replace, always grease seal before clamping shut), a pressure lubricator not serviced (replace pump seal and service automatic pressure lubricator daily), a bad O-ring (replace O-ring; use grease when replacing), or a worn or missing gasket (replace gasket).

What causes the Finn Seeders machine to jump during operation?
    • S
      Stephen GarrettSep 3, 2025
The Finn Seeders machine jumping during operation can be attributed to a couple of reasons: the agitator being bent by a heavy object falling on it (straighten agitator shaft or shim so it runs true) or loading wood fiber mulch into the tank before the tank is half full (straighten agitator paddle; realign agitator to run true).

What causes valve problems in Finn Seeders?
    • J
      jesse00Sep 6, 2025
Valve problems in Finn Seeders can arise from several causes: the valve being frozen (thaw out ice and lubricate; leave in open position during storage), foreign material in the slurry (drain and clean out tank; check storage for foreign materials), loading HydroSeeder® before the tank is half full of water (reinstruct your operator), incorrect loading procedure, improper operation by the operator, clutch slipping (replace clutch), not opening the valve handle all the way (valve should be fully open), the machine not being flushed out prior to reloading, or the machine not being run at the correct RPM during loading (reinstruct your operator).

How to deal with foam in the tank and air entrainment in Finn Seeders?
    • W
      Wyatt PetersonSep 10, 2025
To address foam in the tank and air entrainment in Finn Seeders, you can try the following: as the slurry level drops in the tank, slow the agitator; add 2 to 3 oz (59 to 89 ml) of an anti-foaming agent to the tank; and limit recirculation time as much as possible.

What to do if Finn HydroSeeder T30 has plugging or clogging?
    • A
      adam08Nov 16, 2025
If your Finn Farm Equipment experiences plugging or clogging, follow these steps: 1. Disengage the pump clutch and shut down the engine. 2. Remove and clean the discharge nozzle using a cleaning rod to push out any buildup. 3. If the recirculation system isn't working, disengage the pump clutch and shut down the engine. Remove the recirculation valve clamps, slide back the rubber seals, and remove the valve assembly. Inspect the valve assembly, recirculation nozzle, and pipe for obstructions. Clear any blockages, then replace the valve assembly and clamps, lubricating the seals with sodium-based grease. 4. If there is a drop in pressure accompanied by a frothy discharge stream, blockage is in suction line or sump area. Disengage the pump clutch and shut down the engine, then loosen su...

What to do if my Finn Seeders is plugging or clogging?
    • J
      Jessica RosarioNov 23, 2025
If your Finn Seeders is experiencing plugging or clogging, several steps can be taken to resolve the issue. If the cause is foreign objects or dewatered mulch, disengage the pump clutch, shut down the engine, remove, and clean the discharge nozzle using a cleaning rod until completely cleared. If the recirculation system isn't working, disengage the pump clutch, shut down the engine, remove the recirculation valve, check for obstructions in the valve assembly, recirculation nozzle, and pipe, clear any blockages, then replace the valve assembly, lubricating the seals. If there is an obstruction in the pump (identified by a pressure drop), disengage the pump clutch, shut down the engine, perform lockout/tagout procedures, loosen suction pipe clamps, and remove any obstruction from the pump. ...
