  Leaks in Finn Farm Equipment can stem from several causes. These include a lack of lubrication leading to worn seals (in which case, replace the seals and adhere to the lube schedule), bolts not torqued properly (tighten them uniformly to 25 lb–ft or 34 N•m), or a rubber seal that is cracked, pinched, torn, or missing (replace it, always greasing the seal before clamping shut). A damaged gasket can also cause leaks, so replace the gasket if necessary.

If you are using fertilizer with highly abrasive fillers, change to a different fertilizer that avoids these abrasive fillers. Avoid overloading the machine with dry material; instead, load the machine to the recommended capacities. After loading and mixing, set the agitator at 1/2 speed in reverse and disengage the slurry pump. Close the recirculation valve when discharging through the boom. If the pump is frozen, warm the housing to melt the ice. If the pump is jammed with fertilizer or lime, remove the slurry pump cover and clean the interior. If the impeller is rusted to the suction cover plate, pull the cover and remove the rust.

Also, ensure that you are not loading the HydroSeeder® before the tank is half full of water; if so, reinstruct your operator.
