What causes leaks in Finn Farm Equipment?
    • H
      Heather PhillipsAug 13, 2025
Leaks in Finn Farm Equipment can stem from several causes. These include a lack of lubrication leading to worn seals (in which case, replace the seals and adhere to the lube schedule), bolts not torqued properly (tighten them uniformly to 25 lb–ft or 34 N•m), or a rubber seal that is cracked, pinched, torn, or missing (replace it, always greasing the seal before clamping shut). A damaged gasket can also cause leaks, so replace the gasket if necessary.

What to do if Finn Farm Equipment pump is malfunctioning?
    • L
      lgardnerAug 18, 2025
If the pump in your Finn Farm Equipment is malfunctioning, consider these points. If you are using fertilizer with highly abrasive fillers, change to a different fertilizer that avoids these abrasive fillers. Avoid overloading the machine with dry material; instead, load the machine to the recommended capacities. After loading and mixing, set the agitator at 1/2 speed in reverse and disengage the slurry pump. Close the recirculation valve when discharging through the boom. If the pump is frozen, warm the housing to melt the ice. If the pump is jammed with fertilizer or lime, remove the slurry pump cover and clean the interior. If the impeller is rusted to the suction cover plate, pull the cover and remove the rust.

Why does Finn T75 HydroSeeder Farm Equipment jump during operation?
    • L
      louishawkinsAug 25, 2025
If your Finn Farm Equipment jumps during operation, it could be due to an agitator bent by a heavy object falling on it; in this case, straighten the agitator shaft or shim it so it runs true. Another cause could be bent paddles; straighten the agitator paddle and realign the agitator to run true.

What causes valve problems in Finn Farm Equipment?
    • C
      Cheryl WilliamsAug 29, 2025
Valve issues in Finn Farm Equipment can arise from a few causes. If the valve is frozen, thaw out the ice and lubricate it, and remember to leave valves in the OPEN position during cold weather storage. Another cause could be foreign material in the slurry; drain and clean out the tank, and check your storage for any foreign materials. Also, ensure that you are not loading the HydroSeeder® before the tank is half full of water; if so, reinstruct your operator.

What to do if Finn T75 HydroSeeder Farm Equipment is foaming and lacks distance?
    • R
      rachel53Nov 2, 2025
If your Finn Farm Equipment experiences foaming and lacks distance, several factors could be at play. It might be sucking air through suction lines, so inspect all suction connections and ensure rubber seals are in good condition, greasing them before replacing clamps. Other potential causes include air entrainment, low engine RPM, soft water, too much agitation, a worn pump, a partially plugged suction, a worn or plugged nozzle, or the type of fertilizer used. Clean nozzles and replace if necessary. For low engine RPM, consult an authorized engine dealer. If the issue is air entrainment, refer to the Troubleshooting section. If it's due to soft water or too much agitation, slow the agitator. If the pump is worn, reset the pump tolerance. If suction is partially plugged, clean out the mach...

How to fix plugging or clogging in Finn Farm Equipment?
    • J
      Joshua ThompsonNov 7, 2025
To address plugging or clogging in your Finn Farm Equipment, begin by turning off the engine and disconnecting the battery cables before working on the equipment. If the system is airbound, consult the FOAMING OF SOLUTION AND LACK OF DISTANCE section of the Troubleshooting Chart. For obstructions in the discharge nozzle, indicated by a change or stoppage in the spray pattern: 1. Disengage the slurry pump and shut down the engine. 2. Remove the nozzle. 3. Clean the discharge nozzle using the cleaning rod attached to the underside of the guard rail. If the recirculation system isn't working: 1. Disengage the slurry pump and stop the engine. 2. Remove clamps attaching the recirculation valve assembly. 3. Slide rubber seals back and remove the valve assembly. 4. Check the valve asse...
