Why is there air in my Finnvacum Pro vacuum packed bag?

If you find air in the bag after vacuum packing with your Finnvacum Kitchen Appliances, it could be due to several reasons. Leakage may occur because of wrinkles, liquid, or particles along the sealing edge. Ensure the bag opening and lid are clean and dry before sealing. Make sure the bag opening is correctly positioned above the sealing strip within the vacuum channel. Check the gaskets to ensure they are complete, clean, and correctly placed. The bag itself may have a leak; test it by sealing it with air inside and immersing it in water to check for bubbles. Use only original Finnvacum vacuum bags. Also, avoid vacuum packing items that could damage the bag, and leave a 7 cm gap between the contents and the bag opening. If there is too much air in the bag, shorten the bag.

What to do if my Finnvacum Pro does not seal the vacuum bag?

If your Finnvacum Kitchen Appliances vacuum bag isn't sealing after the vacuum process, it might be because the appliance's built-in sensor hasn't detected enough pressure. To resolve this, first inspect the sealing strip for any dirt and clean if necessary. Then, check the gaskets, cleaning the lower one if needed. If the gaskets are damaged, replace them. Also, the vacuum bag may be leaking, so test it by sealing it with air and immersing it in water to check for bubbles. If the bag leaks, reseal or use a new one. Lastly, dirt or liquid in the bag opening can interfere with sealing, so wipe the opening clean before placing it on the sealing strip.

Why does air penetrate into the bag after sealing with my Finnvacum Kitchen Appliances?
    • M
      morenolouisAug 15, 2025
If air gets into the bag after sealing with your Finnvacum Kitchen Appliances, it could be due to leakage caused by wrinkles, crumbs, or food particles along the bag's edge. Try opening the bag and cleaning the inner side of the opening, then stretch it before placing it over the sealing strip. Note that natural gases from fruits and vegetables may cause this issue; if you suspect the contents are spoiled, close the bag. Check the bag for holes and avoid vacuum-packing hard, sharp-edged materials without wrapping them in kitchen paper first.
