PressandholdMenutoaccesstheProgrammingmenuandscrolltotheDisplayModeicon
.UsetheMenubuttontoselectthedesiredmode:
1. MIN‐MAX :Highestandlowesttemperaturereadingsareshown.
2. Averagemode :Averagetemperaturereadinganddelta(MaxminusMin)shown.
3. Three‐readingmode :Threemostrecentreadingsareshown.
RefertoSection5,Operation,for moreinformationonDisplaymodeoperation.
Whenathermocoupleisinserted(TG56only)thedisplaymodemenushowsthe
thermocoupleicon andallotherfunctionsarelockeduntilthethermocoupleis
removed.
6.2.2SettingtheEmissivity
Theemissivityisadjustablein0.01stepsfrom0.10to0.99;thedefaultvalueis0.95.Referto
theAppendixforalistofcommonmaterialsandtheirrespectiveEmissivityfactors.
1. PressandholdMenu
toaccesstheProgrammingmenuandusethearrowstoscrollto
theemissivityicon .
2. PressMenutoopentheitem.
3. EMISSIVITYPRESETS:Usethearrowbuttonstoscrolltooneofthepresetemissivity
factors(0.95,0.85,0.75,or0.65)andthenpressMenutoconfirm.Themeterwillsave
thesettingandreturntotheProgrammingMenu.
4. CUSTOMEMISSIVITY:
UsethearrowbuttonstoscrolltotheCustom Emissivityicon
andpressMenu.Usethearrowbuttonstoselecttheemissivity(0.10to0.99)andthen
pressMenutoconfirm.
5. PresstheBack
buttontoreturntotheProgrammingmenu.
6. Usethearrowbuttonstoselectanothermenuitemorpress
toreturntothe
normaloperatingmode.
7. Inthenormaloperatingscreentheemissivityisshowninatexturedboxwhenapreset
emissivityisused(otherwisetheemissivity valueisshownwithoutatexturedbox).The
textureofthepresetboxisasimulationofasurfacethat
wouldhaveanemissivityclose
tothepresetvalue.
