  If your Flotec Water Pump isn't delivering water to its full capacity, it could be due to a few reasons. The water level in the well might be lower than estimated, possibly requiring a new nozzle and venturi combination. If steel piping is used, corrosion or liming could be causing excess friction; replace it with plastic pipe where possible, or with new steel pipe. Also, ensure the piping isn't too small in size, and use larger piping if necessary.

  If your Flotec Water Pump motor won't run, start by checking if the disconnect switch is on. Ensure that the fuse hasn't blown or the circuit breaker hasn't tripped; replace the fuse or reset the breaker if necessary. A defective starting switch could also be the problem; if so, disconnect the power and replace the starting switch. Inspect the wires at the motor to ensure they are correctly connected and tightened, referring to the wiring instructions. If the pressure switch contacts are dirty, disconnect the power and file the contacts with an emery board or nail file. Remember that capacitor voltage may be hazardous; discharge the capacitor with an insulated screwdriver before working on it, or consult a qualified electrician.

  If you're experiencing air spurts from the faucets with your Flotec Water Pump, it could be due to several reasons. The pump might be in the process of picking up prime; once it does, it should pump solid water without air. A leak in the suction side of the pump could be allowing air to be sucked in; check the joints for leaks using soapy water. If the well is gaseous, consult the factory about installing a sleeve in the well. Intermittent over-pumping of the well, where the water is drawn down below the foot valve, can also cause this; lower the foot valve if possible, or restrict the pump discharge.
