variables are known, the Meter computes the % outside
air.
% Outside Air (Temperature)
To obtain % of outside air using temperature:
1. Place the Meter sensor perpendicular to the air
stream being measured.
2. Press
Q.The Meter switches to % outside air
measuring mode and offers choices of 1[CO
2
]
or
3[Temp]
.
3. Press 3[Temp]. The Meter measures and
displays the return air temperature.
4. Press 1[Capture]
to store the return air reading.
The Meter then measures and displays the mixed air
temperature.
5. Press 1[Capture]
to store the mixed air reading.
The Meter then measures and displays the outside
air temperature.
6. Outside air temperature can either be measured by
using 1[Capture]
or it can be entered
manually by
pressing 2[Manual Entry] and entering the known
outside air temperature value. When entering
manually, use 2[UP] and 3[DOWN] to change
the temperature reading to the desired number.
Press 1[ENTER].
7. Once the outside air temperature is entered, return
air, mixed air, and outside air temperatures are
displayed. Press 1[Calculate] to show the %
outside air, or press 3 [Back] to change any of
the measurements.
8. Press 3[Done] to end the % outside air
measurement.
% Outside Air (CO
2
)
Measuring the % outside air using carbon dioxide (CO
2
) is
similar to measuring the percentage of outside air via
temperature.
To obtain the % outside air using CO
2
:
1. Place the Meter sensor perpendicular to the air
stream being measured.
2. Press
Q. The Meter switches to the % outside air
measuring mode and offers the selection choice of
1[CO
2
]
or 3[Temp]
.
3. Press 1[CO
2
]
.
The Meter measures and displays
the return air CO
2
content.
4. Press 1[Capture]
to store the return air reading.
The meter then measures and displays the mixed air
CO
2
content.
5. Press 1[Capture]
to store the mixed air reading.
The Meter then measures and displays the outside
air CO
2
content.
6. Outside Air CO
2
content can either be measured by
using 1[Capture]
or it can be entered
manually by
pressing 2[Manual Entry] and entering the known
outside CO
2
content. When entering manually, use
2[UP] and 3[DOWN] to change the CO
2
