If the NULL DETECTOR is line operated, return this
shield connection back to the 752A GUARD. The
purpose of the case ground connection shown in
Figure 2 is to, provide an earth .ground to a
battery operated NULL DETECTOR case. In this
instance, the ground connection comes through the
shield wires to the UUT. It is important this
connection
to earth ground be made for any battery
operated Fluke 845AB NULL DETECTOR.
