1. General
Before starting to use the machine you need to read and fully understand the manual!!!
This manual contains important information about the proper way of installing, operating and
maintaining the equipment described in this manual. When using headlight tester there are a
different kind of risks that you may incur, risks in personal injuries or property damage. Everyone
who comes into contact with the installation, maintenance or operation of the headlight tester must
be fully familiar with the contents of this manual. To protect yourself against personal injury or
property damage you need to follow the following information and instructions in this manual.
Every Fluxon headlight tester is manufactured in conformity with the EMC-Directive 2004/108/EC,
the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Low voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and RoHS Directive
2002/95/CE and meets the ISO 10604-norm. Every headlight tester is supplied with a manual
including a declaration of conformity. These must be stored and kept up to date properly.
Because of quality reasons constant improvements are going to be made on the equipment.

described in this manual.
2. Safety rules
1. The device should only be used by authorized personnel which is fully familiar with the
content of this manual and which is trained in the use of the device.
2. Read the machine labels, do not cover them for any reason, and replace them immediately if
they should be damaged.
3. Do not use the device in an explosive atmosphere.
4. The working environment should be dry and sufficiently ventilated.
5. When moving the machine, pay attention to other people, especially children, in the vicinity.
6. Do not bump shelves or scaffoldings where there may be a danger of falling objects: you and
the machine could be hurt.
7. The storage temperature should be between -5°C and +55°C.
8. The working temperature should be between -5°C and +45°C.
9. Provide an adequate exhaust system for the exhaust gas, since the headlight test must be
performed with the engine of the motor vehicle running. Accidental inhalation of carbon
monoxide can cause serious damage to the organism, with a fatal outcome in some cases.

10. Do not leave the headlight tester in the sun or in the immediate vicinity of hot objects like
heaters, radiators, etc.
11. Do not leave the headlight tester out in the rain or in an excessively damp place as its
electronic circuits could be damaged.
12. If the headlight tester will not be used for a prolonged period, we recommend that you cover
it with its dust cover (optional).
13. There is a battery in the headlight tester that could cause a fire or explosion hazard if
handled improperly. To prevent this risk do not heat or use open flames near the battery
and, when replacing it, use one with the same characteristics.
