Appendix I – Troubleshooting TCP/IP Communications
• Checking the PC Serial Port Settings
If viewing the Comm Monitor diagnostic and there appears to be data arriving at the AccuLoad but it seems
illegible or garbled, perhaps there is a mismatch in the baud rate/parity settings. You can verify the port settings
by examining the properties in the SLIP connection settings. You can also check them via the command line.
Shut down the SLIP connection, then from a command prompt, type the following command:
C:> MODE COM1:
This command will display the current port settings for the COM port specified. You can also modify the port
settings using this command:
C:> MODE COM1:38400,N,8,1
This utility may be useful for troubleshooting AccuMate serial communications as well.
