Is the wiper HI/LOW relay OK?
Yes
GO to H3.
No
INSTALL a new wiper HI/LOW relay. REPEAT the FEM self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
H3 CHECK CIRCUIT 1319 (VT/WH) FOR SHORT TO VOLTAGE
FEM C191
Measure the voltage between FEM C191 Pin 3, Circuit 1319 (VT/WH), harness side and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
REPAIR Circuit 1319 (VT/WH). REPEAT the FEM self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
No
INSTALL a new FEM. For additional information, REFER to Section 419-10. REPEAT the FEM self-test, CLEAR
the DTCs.
H4 CHECK WIPER HI /LOW RELAY — USE ACTIVE COMMAND SPEED RLY
Trigger the FEM active command SPEED RLY to ON.
Does the HI/LOW relay energize?
Yes
GO to H5.
No
INSTALL a new FEM. For additional information, REFER to Section 419-10. REPEAT the FEM self-test, CLEAR
the DTCs.
H5 CHECK WIPER HI/LOW RELAY
Wiper HI/LOW Relay
Check the wiper HI/LOW relay for correct operation. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 149.
Is the wiper HI/LOW relay OK?
Yes
GO to H6.
No
INSTALL a new wiper HI/LOW relay. REPEAT the FEM self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.
H6 CHECK THE CIRCUIT 1319 (VT/WH) FOR SHORT TO GROUND
FEM C191
Measure the resistance between FEM C191 Pin 3, Circuit 1319 (VT/WH), harness side and ground.
