2. Quick Start Guide
We realize that some of you may wish to jump directly into basic
operations, such as playing sounds manually, remotely, and using
presets. This is a very brief overview, and it is strongly recommended
that you read this manual in its entirety to fully understand all the
capabilities of the system.
2-1 Playing Sounds Manually
Manual operation is the most basic way to operate the Firestorm. The
following steps describe that process. Be sure that you properly
installed batteries as described in Chapter 1.
1. Make sure that at least one of your speaker selector switches is
in the “on” position.
2. Turn on the Firestorm by rotating the volume/power knob
clockwise. Remember that this knob also controls the volume as
well as the power and the more you turn the knob clockwise,
the louder the volume will be.
3. After the power is turned on, you will notice that the LCD panel
on the Firestorm will briefly display the version identifier
followed by two horizontal dashes.
4. Use the sound selector buttons on the front of the Firestorm to
scroll through the sounds. As you cycle through the sounds, the
display will change showing the current number. When you
release the button, the selected sound will immediately begin to
play. To switch to a different sound, use the sound selector
button to cycle through the list again.
2-2 Playing Sounds Remotely
Prior to attempting to use the Firestorm remotely, make sure that the
Firestorm is turned on.
