It might be due to no voltage reaching the coil, in which case you should repair the electrical circuit. A defective coil could also be the problem, requiring a coil replacement. Low refrigerant charge is another possibility; repair any leaks and recharge the system. A high pressure differential might also be the reason, so recheck the system. Other potential causes include dirt in a bleeder hole or a piston cup leak. To address this, de-energize the solenoid, raise the head pressure, and then re-energize the solenoid to dislodge the dirt.
