McDonald’s Components
The McDonald’s version of the HE gas fryer in-
cludes an interlock circuit for the exhaust hood.
When the fryer is turned on, a relay in the fryer
activates the hood system exhaust fan.
McDonald’s fry-
ers include a pre-
wired interlock
cord set. The plug
is a fi ve-prong
twist lock (NEMA
L21-20P).
Depending on the
restaurant wiring,
the terminal block
or the plug may
require rewiring to work properly. See diagram for
details.
