1.2.3 Confirm that the connection works
The easiest way to test that the static private network is working correctly is to log into
the receiver’s browser interface.
Log in to the receiver
On your computer, enter the IP address (169.254.1.3) into the
web browser’s address bar and press return on your keyboard
Supply the username and password when asked. The factory-set default
values are:
Username: admin Password: password
Note that these may have been changed by the person responsible for
administering the receiver
If your web browser does not show a login page, it may be necessary to override any
manual settings that may have been set, as follows:
Using Internet Explorer 9 (other browsers operate in a similar fashion),
click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options
Click on the Connections tab, then the LAN Settings button
Make sure Automatically detect settings has a tick in its box
Make sure Use a proxy server for your LAN… does NOT have a tick
Once you have confirmed the connection as working, you may use the browser
interface to perform the GLONASS upgrade.
