● Always use the specified combination of servomotor and servo amplifier. Failure to observe this could result in fire or failure.
● Never use the product where it may be exposed to water, in a corrosive atmosphere, in an atmosphere with flammable gas, or near

● The servo amplifier, servomotor, and peripheral equipment will become hot during use, and therefore caution is required.

● The cooling fins, regenerative resistors, and servomotor, etc. may become hot while power is being supplied, and for a short while after
turning OFF the power, and therefore these parts must never be touched.

● Do not hold the cables or servomotor shaft when transporting the product. Failure to observe this could result in failure or injury.
● Wire the product securely to prevent servomotor runaway. Failure to observe this could result in failure or injury.
● Never perform a megger check or withstand voltage test. Failure to observe this could result in failure.
● Do not subject the product to strong impact. Failure to observe this could result in failure.
● Do not close the fan intake or exhaust ports. Furthermore, ensure that no foreign material gets into the fan.

● Always mount the product in the direction indicated in item 2. Failure to observe this could result in fire or failure.
● Never make drastic adjustments or changes, as this could result in unstable operation. Failure to observe this could result in injury.
● When performing test operation, secure the servomotor, carry out an operation check with the servomotor kept separate from the
mechanical system, and then reattach it to the machine. Failure to observe this could result in injury or servomotor destruction.
● The holding brake is not a shutdown device for ensuring machine safety. To ensure machine safety, install a shutdown device at the
machine side. Failure to observe this could result in injury.
● If an alarm occurs, eliminate the cause, ensure safety, and then reset the alarm. Failure to observe this could result in injury.
● Operation may resume suddenly after restoring the power following a power failure, and therefore operators should maintain a safe
distance from the machine.
● Design machines in such a way as to ensure operator safety even when operation is resumed.

● Ensure that the power supply specifications are correct. Failure to observe this could result in failure.
● Install an external emergency stop circuit to ensure that operation can be stopped immediately, and to ensure that the power can be cut.

● The capacity of power line capacitors will drop due to degradation. Replacement after approximately 5 years is recommended to prevent
secondary accidents due to failure. Failure to observe this could result in failure.
● Do not store the product where it will be exposed to rain or water droplets, toxic gases or liquids.
● Store the product where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight, and in an atmosphere with temperature range of -20 to 80 °C.

● Fumigation when packing for export
Halogen compounds such as methyl bromide used for fumigation when packing for export may corrode and damage some parts inside the
servo amplifier. When exporting servo amplifiers built into a panel or equipment, pack them in a previously fumigated wooden crate.
1. Product Confirmation
Unpack the product and check the following items.
(1) Ensure that the packaging contains the function safety option, a
screw ((M3x16 : 1), and the instruction manual (this document).
(2) Ensure that no damage such as function safety option
abnormalities, dents, or warping has occurred during transport.
(3) Ensure that the model "WSU-ST1" is printed on the product.
If there is anything about the product of which you are unsure, or
you experience any equipment defects, please contact your dealer
or nearest Fuji sales office.
2. Product Application
Restrictions apply to servomotor combinations for safety functions that can be used with this module. Safety functions and
servomotor models that can be used are listed in the following table.
