6. Turn on the power to the Simple POD unit.
If the battery is not connected, the message “Data has some error. Error: 161 (24: )” is displayed
on the Main Menu screen or “Format required.” is displayed on the “SRAM/Clock Adjust.” screen.
Battery Replacement
Safety Instructions on Handling the Battery
Lithium batteries contain combustible material such as lithium or organic solvent. Mishandling may
cause heat, explosion or ignition resulting in fire or injury. To prevent accidents, pay attention to the
following cautions when handling the lithium battery.

• Be sure to discharge static electricity from your body before battery replacement.
• Use the battery “UG30P-BT” (replacement battery) for replacement.
• Rough handling of the battery may cause a fire or chemical burn hazard.
• Do not disassemble, incinerate or heat the battery.
• Observe the local and governmental regulations when disposing of waste batteries.
• Keep batteries out of reach of children (If swallowed, immediately consult a doctor.)
• Never re-charge the battery.
• When the battery leaks or smells, the leaking battery electrolyte may catch a fire.
Keep from heat or flame.
