Functional overview
– If a failure occurs, please inform your service about the TPM
activation before it takes any action, and be prepared to provide them
with your backup copies of the TPM content.
Hard disk drives (HDDs)
Up to four 3.5-inch SATA HDDs, each with a maximum height of 1 inch, are built
into the drive cages. There is a wire connection to the controller.
The system board offers an onboard SATA controller.
Onboard SATA controller
A SATA controller is integrated on the system board; up to four SATA HDDs can
be connected to the controller. The LSI Embedded MegaRAID software (SATA
Software RAID) supports RAID levels 0, 1 and 10.
The SATA HDDs cannot be replaced during operation.
For more information on configuring the controller, see section "Configuring the
onboard SATA controller" on page 56.
Accessible drives
Optical disk drives (ODD)
An installation slot for an ultra slim ODD is available (optional). The ODD cannot
be replaced during operation.
RDX drives
The 5.25-inch bay is available for one RDX device.This RDX drive cannot be
replaced during operation.
Power supply unit (PSU)
In its basic configuration the server comes with a standard PSU that adjusts
automatically to any mains voltage in the range of 100 V - 240 V.
Advanced Thermal Design
The Advanced Thermal Design option allows you to operate the system with a
wider temperature range either of 5 °C to 40 °C or 5 °C to 45 °C, depending on
your system and configuration.
