Remove
the
battery
cover
and
load
eight
penlight
batteries
into
the
battery
holder
in
the
correct
polarity.
e
When
the
antenna
is
extended
to
its
full
length
and
the
power
switch
is
turned
on,
the
level
pointer
should
deflect
to
within
the
silver
zone.
If
the
pointer
does
not
deflect,
or
deflects
very
little,
check
for
poor
battery
contact,
incorrect
battery
polarity,
Battery
holder
or
faulty
batteries.
