HOW TO INSTALL THE FENCE
a) Plan the fence line. Avoid rough, stony or steep areas if possible. For best
electric fence performance use mulƟ -wire (at least 3 wires connected in
parallel) fencing.
b) Install end strain posts and corner posts. Ensure that all end strain and corner
posts are well installed to withstand the wire strain.
c) Run out the boƩ om wire between the end posts and Ɵ e oī at each end using
end strain insulators G6781. Run out the second to top wire and Ɵ e oī .
d) Tension wires unƟ l there is only a slight visible sag.
e) Install line posts using installed wires as a guide.
f) Install remaining wires according to your selected wire conĮ guraƟ on as shown
on the next page.
g) Install insulators to support wires on line and corner posts,
(e.g. G673).
h) Connect all live wires in parallel at the end of each fence
secƟ on using Joint Clamps G6030.
Use Joint Clamps G6030 to ensure Ɵ ght wire connecƟ ons.
Connect any earth wires together in parallel. Never connect
live and earth wires together.
i) Connect the fence system under gateways, rather than overhead. Do not use
electric gates to get power across gateways. Install Lead-out Cable G6270
in a plasƟ c pipe (for physical protecƟ on), 30cm (12”) deep. Turn the ends of
the pipe down to keep water out. Connect each end of the cable to the Joint
Clamps.
