SECTION 8
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
SERVICE CHECK LIST
Air Filter - Operating conditions determine frequency of service. See “Air Filter,” SECTION 6, page 34.
Motor Lubrication - Refer to SECTION 2, page 12.
Every 8 Hours Operation
1. Check the reservoir oil level - add oil if required. See SECTION 5, page 24. If oil consumption is
high, refer to “Excessive Oil Consumption,” page 41.
2. Observe if the unit loads and unloads properly.
3. Check discharge pressure and temperature.
Every 125 Hours Operation
1. Check for dirt accumulation on oil/aftercooler core faces and the cooling fan. If cleaning is required,
clean the exterior fin surfaces of the cores by blowing compressed air carrying a nonflammable
safety solvent in a direction opposite that of the cooling fan air flow. This cleaning operation will
keep the exterior cooling surfaces clean and ensure effective heat dissipation.
Every 150 Hours Operation
1. Check/change the air filter.
Every 1000 Hours Operation
1. Change oil filter element.
Every 4000 Hours Operation
1. Change the compressor lubricant. UNDER ADVERSE CONDITIONS, CHANGE MORE
FREQUENTLY (refer to “Oil Change Interval”, Figure 5-2, page 26). Flush system if required.
Every Year
1. Check the relief valve for proper operation. See Section 4, page 17.
2. Change oil separator, see “Compressor Oil Separator,” page 31, for further details (or when 8 psi
pressure differential across the element).
