How to troubleshoot a GE AHSK24AAH1 that won't start?
    • C
      Christopher NewmanAug 12, 2025
If your GE Air Conditioner isn't starting, first ensure it's fully plugged into the outlet. Check if a fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped, and replace the fuse or reset the breaker if needed. Also, if the current interrupter device is tripped, press the RESET button on the power cord plug. If it won't stay engaged, stop using the air conditioner and contact a qualified technician. If there was a power failure, the unit will automatically restart with the last used settings once power is restored.

Why is my GE AHSK24AAH1 not cooling as it should?
    • P
      Peter RamosAug 17, 2025
If your GE Air Conditioner isn't cooling properly, make sure that curtains, blinds, or furniture are not blocking the front of the unit. Try turning the temperature control to a higher number. Clean the air filter at least every 30 days. Remember to allow time for the room to cool down when you first turn on the air conditioner. Check for open furnace registers and cold air returns. Also, check if the cooling coils have iced up.

If water collects in the base pan of your GE Air Conditioner, it's likely due to moisture removed from the air. This is normal for a short period in areas with low humidity and for a longer period in very humid areas.
