System cleaning
The System cleaning method is used to clean the
instrument ow path. The method is recommended for:
Routine maintenance
Preparing the system for storage
Removing/preventing contamination (bacterial growth)
in the ow path
Preventing carryover of buers/samples
Cleaning solutions
1 M NaOH
DM water

Instruction
Clean the inlets and outlets (buer tubing, sample inlet
tubing, fractionation tubing)
Immerse the buer inlet tubing (A & B) in 1 M NaOH.
Disconnect column from the ow path and reconnect
the tubing with a Union connector.
Follow the workow below to run System cleaning.

Note:
Do not leave NaOH in the system. Wash the ow path
with water thoroughly.
Check the pH after water wash to ensure complete
removal of NaOH.
It is recommended not to end the method prior to its
completion.
