      Colored spots on clothes after washing in your GE washer can be due to incorrect use of fabric softener. Check the fabric softener package for instructions and follow directions for using the dispenser. Make sure you have selected the Deep Rinse option. Also, sort whites and lightly colored items separately from dark colors to prevent dye transfer. Pretreat the stain and rewash using the Speed Wash cycle before drying.

      If water is siphoning out of your GE washer, the drain standpipe may be too low, or the hose is inserted too far into the standpipe. The drain hose must exceed 30” in height at some point between the washer back and the drain pipe. Use an anti-siphon clip to secure it. Refer to the Installation Instructions for more details.

      If water is being pumped out of your GE washer before the cycle is complete, it's possible that the previous cycle was cancelled because water was left in the unit for 24 hours with the lid closed or 15 minutes with the lid open. Close the lid, select a new cycle, and start the machine.
