Step4: Closethedoorandmakesuretheovenlight
(C)is off.
Ovenshelvesmay becleanedin theself-cleaning
oven.However,theywilldarken,losetheirlusterand
becomehardto slide.Wipetheshelfsupportswith
cookingoilafterself-cleaningto makeshelvesslide
moreeasily.
Caution: Chromedrippansshouldneverbe cleaned
in the self-cleaningoven.
Do notuse
commercial oven cleaners or oven
protectors in or near the self-cleaning oven.

forcleaning.
Step2: Closetheoven

Step 4: PressINCREASEor DECREASEpaduntil
desiredCleanTimeis displayed.
CleanTimeis normally3 hours.Youcan changethe
CleanTimeto anywherebetween2 and4 hours,
dependingon howdirtythe ovenis.
The self-cleancyclewillautomaticallybeginwithina
few secondsandtheword“ON”willappearon the
display.Whentheovenlockstheword“LOCKy’will

bedisplayedand,a shorttimelater,thedoorlatch
handlewillbe lockedin position,It willnotbe
possibleto openthe ovendooruntilthetemperature
dropsbelowthe locktemperature.
Step 5: WhentheLOCKlightisoff,slidelatchhandle
totheleftasfar asit willgo andopenthedoor.
Never
forcethelatchhandle.Wait.untiltheword
“LOCK” goes
outinthe display.Forcing the kwd-1
handle may dfunagethedoorlock.
Aftera cleancycle,youmaynoticesomewhiteashin
theoven.Justwipeitupwitha dampcloth.
If whitespotsremain,removethemwitha soap-filled
steelwoolpad.Besuretorinsethoroughlywitha
vinegarandwatermixture,Thesedepositsareusuallya
saltresiduethatcannotberemovedbythecleancycle.
Iftheovenis notcleanafteronecleancycle,thecycle
maybei.epeated.
