Followthesestepstokeep
spatteringandsmokingtoa
minimum.
Step 1:lfmeat has fator gristlenear
edge,cut
verticalslashes~hrough
bothabout2”apart.Ifdesired,fat
maybetrimmed,leavinglayer
about
1/8”thick.
Step2: Insert blackenamel-coated
broiler rack with stop-locksresting
onguideson sidewallsofovenand
e
ushtowardrear ofovenuntilitfalls
tocorrect positionunder guides.
ToRemove,lift up rear ofrack and
pullforward with stop-locksalong
topedgeofovenguides.
Step3:Insert splatter shieldonto
drip pan. Alwaysuse splattershield
so fatdrips intodrip pan; otherwise
juices maybecome hotenough to
catch fire. Aluminum foilmaybe
used to 1ine broiler pan and splatter
shicld. But, beCERTAINtocut
openingsin fbil, to correspond with
slotsinthe splatter shield so fat
drips intopan below.
Step5:Touchnumberpad1or2for
desiredBroil

475°F.Code2 broilsat450”F.andis
used forthinnercutsofmeatandfor
fish. “EnterBroilTime” flasheson
displaybutusuallyitisrecommended
thatyoupreheattopreprogrammed
broilingtemperature.(SeeStep6,)
Step6:TouchSTARTpad. “-200”
showsondisplayuntiltemperature
reaches200°F.Thendisplayshows
temperaturerisingin increments.
Step7:Whenpreprogrammed
temperatureisreached, ovensignals
and “Enter BroilTime” flasheson
display.When the door is opened,
“Hot”
appears on display. Place
foodonbroilerpan assemblyand
placeon enamel-coatedbroiler rack.
Note: If ovendoor remainsclosed,
ovenwillhold preprogrammed
temperaturefor 30minutesand then
shutoff.
Step8: Enter broilingtime by
touchingnumber pads insequence.
For 25 minutes, touch2,5,0 and O.
