Why do clothes shrink in my GE Dryer?
    • P
      Paula WilliamsSep 12, 2025
Some fabrics naturally shrink when washed, while others shrink in the dryer. To avoid shrinkage, follow garment care labels exactly. Some items may be pressed back into shape after drying. If you are concerned about shrinkage in a particular item, do not machine wash or tumble dry it.

Why are garments still wrinkled after steam cycle in my GE Dryer?
    • S
      Sheila SmithSep 12, 2025
If garments are still wrinkled after a steam cycle in your GE dryer, try loading fewer garments and manually increase the time. Also, ensure the lint filter is clean. For children's or infant garments, use the Steam Refresh cycle.

Why is there water on the floor behind my GE PFD95 Dryer?
    • K
      kennethwhitneySep 10, 2025
If you find water on the floor in the back of your GE dryer, check for a loose water hose connection and tighten it. Also, ensure that the hose has a rubber washer at the connection with the valve; install the rubber washer provided with the hose if it's missing.

Why is my GE Dryer tumbling after display says Complete?
    • J
      John JohnsonSep 9, 2025
If your GE dryer continues to tumble after the display says Complete, it is likely because the Wrinkle Care option was selected. Ensure that the Wrinkle Care option is not selected, unless using the Steam Refresh cycle, where Wrinkle Care is automatically turned on and cannot be turned off.

What to do if my GE Dryer doesn’t heat?
    • A
      aprilharrisAug 25, 2025
If your GE dryer tumbles but doesn't heat, check the building’s fuse/circuit breaker box and replace both fuses or reset both breakers, because some electric dryers use 2 fuses/breakers. For gas models, make sure the gas shutoff at the dryer and the main shutoff are fully open. Also, check if the LP gas supply tank is empty or if there has been a utility interruption of natural gas; refill or replace the tank as needed. Ensure that a no heat temperature wasn't accidentally selected; if so, select another heat setting.

What to do if my GE Dryer is causing static?
    • J
      Joe SmithSep 7, 2025
If static occurs when using your GE dryer, try a fabric softener, such as Bounce® Fabric Conditioner Dryer Sheets, which have been approved for use in all GE Appliances dryers when used as instructed by the manufacturer. Also, avoid overdrying by adjusting the setting to Less Dry or Damp. Be aware that synthetics, permanent press, and blends can also cause static, so try using a fabric softener with these materials.

Why are clothes wrinkled after using my GE PFD95?
    • B
      berryjacquelineSep 6, 2025
Clothes can be wrinkled after drying in your GE dryer due to overdrying (select a shorter drying time, remove items with a slight amount of moisture, or choose a Less Dry or Damp setting), letting items sit in the dryer after the cycle ends (remove items when the cycle ends and fold or hang immediately, or use the Wrinkle Care option), or overloading (separate large loads into smaller ones).

What to do if the dryness level was chosen but load is still damp in GE PFD95 Dryer?
    • P
      Paul VargasSep 5, 2025
If the load is still damp after choosing a dryness level on your GE dryer, and the load consists of a mixture of heavy and light fabrics, choose More Dry. Inspect and clean the exhaust system.

Why is there lint on clothes after drying in my GE PFD95?
    • S
      sara98Sep 3, 2025
Lint on clothes after drying in your GE dryer can be due to several reasons. Clean the lint screen before each load. Sort lint producers (like chenille) from lint collectors (like corduroy). Static electricity can attract lint. Avoid overloading the dryer. Ensure all pockets are empty before laundering clothes.
