Avoiding hazards caused by defective
Geberit pressing attachments
Geberit pressing attachments (pressing jaws,
pressing collars, adapter jaws) are exposed to
significant forces during the pressing procedure
and wear out. The use of worn or damaged
pressing attachments can lead to injuries.
Only use pressing attachments if they are in
perfect working order.
Maintain the pressing attachments regularly.
→See maintenance regulations for Geberit
pressing jaws.
Only store the pressing attachments in dry
rooms.
Transport pressing attachments in shock-
protected transport cases.
Regularly inspect pressing attachments for
defects and damage before and after every use.
Inspect the pressing attachments particularly for
incipient cracks in the pressing contour and on
the flanges.
If there are incipient cracks, take the pressing
attachments out of service immediately, label
them as defective and do not use them again.
