LANE KEEPING ASSIST (LKA)
Lane Keeping Assist helps detect
lane markers on the road, and helps
prevent the vehicle from departing
the lane while driving.
To turn LKA ON, press and hold the
Lane Driving Assist button located
on the steering wheel.
To turn LKA OFF, press and hold the
button again.
LKA operates only when vehicle speed
is above 40 mph and when the in
the instrument cluster is green.
A White indicator means the system is
ON, but not operational.
LKA will not operate properly if the
following conditions are present:
the lane line is not clear
on sharp bend in a road
heavy fog
Refer to the Owner's Manual for more
detailed information.
NOTE: During operation, you
may feel the sensation of
steering wheel movement.
Depending on the road
condition (lane markings, tar
strips, cracks, etc.), small
steering inputs may occur.
PRESS AND HOLD
LANE FOLLOWING ASSIST (LFA)
Lane Following Assist is designed to
help detect lane markings and/or
vehicles on the road, and assists the
driver’s steering to help center the
vehicle in the lane.
To turn LFA On, short press the Lane
driving Assist button on left side of
steering wheel. A white indicator
means the system is activated but not
operating and a green indicator
means the system is operational.
Turning Smart Cruise On will also auto
activate LFA On. However, when SCC
is turned Off, LFA will remain On.
Press the button again to turn off the
Lane Following Assist.
NOTE: when LFA or LKA are active this may cause the steering force to
feel heavier, this is normal.
