OIL CHANGE REMINDER (IF EQUIPPED)
Oil change reminder predicts engine oil life based on driving conditions
and alerts when the next oil change is required.
Oil remaining life will begin initially at 100% and alert of an oil change
starting at 5%.

1 Engine oil change warning when oil life reaches 5%
● A engine oil change message will display on the cluster for 4 seconds
when engine is turned on.

2 Engine oil change warning when oil life reaches 1%
● A engine oil change message will display on the cluster for 10 seconds
when engine is turned on.

3 Engine oil change warning when oil life is less than 1%
● A warning light will appear as well as an engine oil change message on
the cluster for 10 seconds when engine is turned on.
● The warning light will remain on until the engine oil is changed and oil
change reminder is reset.
○ Oil change reminder “Reset” should only occur when the engine
oil is changed. Resetting without oil change will result in
notification function not displaying correctly. In such case,
engine oil change needs to occur within 4,970 miles of the most
recent oil change.
○ Engine oil needs to be changed according to change cycle
noted during inspection even when engine oil life span warning
does not show.
○ The system assumes that engine oil is normally added if low, oil
level should be checked regularly.
