doors will lock as well. Smart
key needs to be within
range.
SMART LIFTGATE
On a vehicle equipped with a smart
key, the trunk can be opened with
hands-free activation using the
smart trunk system.
When smart key is within 20-40 in.
range for 3 seconds, the trunk will
automatically open.
Smart Liftgate function must be enabled from the Settings menu in the
infotainment system screen, vehicle must be in P (Park), select:
Setup > Vehicle > Door/Liftgate > Smart Liftgate
The hands-free smart trunk system can be opened automatically when
the following conditions are met:
• The smart trunk option is enabled in the Settings menu in the
infotainment system screen.
• The smart trunk is activated and ready 15 seconds after all the
doors are closed and locked
• The smart trunk will open when the smart key is detected in the
area behind the vehicle for 3 seconds
Please refer to your Owner’s Manual for further information.
NOTE: Feature is default OFF from factory to avoid accidental
activation.
