Different types of Pedelec are produced for dif-
ferent interest and target groups. They usually
differ in the position of the motor or battery.
Your Pedelec may look different from the im-
ages shown here, but the general functions
described are the same. Read the operating in-
structions for the electrical systems to get spe-
cic technical information.
Always activate the brakes of your
Pedelec before you put your foot
onto the pedal! The motor starts
pushing immediately after you step onto the
pedal. This pushing can be unfamiliar and
may lead to falls, risks or accidents in road
trafc and to injuries.

Children and the Pedelec
Before you allow a child to ride the
Pedelec, nd out whether the child
is of the required age and has a bicycle per-
mit – this is mandatory! Pedelecs may only be
ridden by children that are of legal age and
possess the necessary bike permit.
In Germany, you must be at least 16 years of
age to ride an S-pedelec.
