If you play Firebird X and discharge it 50% during a concert, then charge it to full capacity,
that is only half of a charge/discharge cycle. If you play Firebird X every day and discharge
it to 75% of capacity then charge it back to 100%, it would take four days before the battery
would experience a full charge/discharge cycle.
However, a battery has a finite life regardless of whether you’ve used up the full number of
charge/discharge cycles—after about 2-3 years its internal resistance rises to the point
where it can no longer deliver its rated voltage.
Note that Li-Ion batteries like “exercise.” Leaving a battery on a charger all the time will
lead to lower performance than doing some degree of charging and discharging.
