7. Switching the machine off
N.B. To search for the positions of the components, refer to chapter 3. "External components"
1. Use the on/off key (Ref. 7) to switch the machine off.
The operation described above is not necessary when automatic switch-on/off is activated; in this case the
machine will switch on and off alone.
Always respect point 1 for safety reasons.

Operations to perform with the machine on
Cleaning the unit:
1. Position the blind filter in the filter-holder (Ref. 10). If necessary, use a detergent specific for cleaning
coffee machines, respecting the doses indicated by the manufacturer.
2. Attach the filter-holder to the dispensing unit.
3. Activate dispensing using the main lever (Ref. 12) and interrupt it after 10 seconds. Wait for 30
seconds.
4. Activate dispensing again for another 10 seconds.
5. Release the filter-holder when dispensing has terminated.
6. Activate dispensing again and leave the water to run for approx. 10 seconds.
Operations to perform with the machine off and cold
Cleaning filters and filter-holders:
1. Remove the filter holder (Ref. 10) and clean the filter plate and douche seal with a non-metal brush
for food products used only for this purpose (HCCP standard for the contact with foodstuffs). Pay
attention to contact with the filter-holder since it is extremely hot during use.
2. Place the filters (extracted from the filter-holder) and the relative filter-holder arms in a liquid solution
with a detergent specific for coffee machines, following the manufacturer's instructions and leave to
soak for several hours or even overnight.
3. It is recommended to rinse the filters thoroughly with clean drinking water before re-positioning them.
Cleaning the steam and hot water wands:
1. Via a soft, clean and damp cloth, used only for this purpose (HCCP standard for the contact with
foodstuffs). It is recommended to clean the steam wands after every use, paying great attention due
to the high temperature reached during operation.
Cleaning the grid and the tray under the cups (Ref. 11):
1. Extract these parts from their seat and clean them thoroughly using warm water. Cleaning the
bodywork:
