Delayed Locking

h
is feature delays the locking of the doors
until five seconds after all doors are closed.
When Q is pressed on the power door lock
switch while the door is open, achime will
sound three times indicating delayed locking
is active.
The doors will lock automatically five seconds
after all doors are closed. If adoor is reopened
before that time, the five-second timer will
reset when all doors are closed again.
Press Q on the door lock switch again or press
Q on the remote key to lock the doors
immediately.
To view available settings from the
infotainment home screen, touch Settings
>Vehicle >Power Door Locks.
Automatic Door Locks
The doors will lock automatically when all
doors are closed, the ignition is on, and the
vehicle is shifted out of P(Park).
If avehicle door is unlocked, and then opened
and closed, the doors will lock either when your
foot is removed from the brake or the vehicle
speed becomes faster than 13 km/h (8 mph).
To unlock the doors:

Pr
ess K on the power door lock switch.
•
Shift the transmission into P(Park).
Automatic door locking cannot be disabled.
Automatic door unlocking can be programmed.
To view available settings for this feature on
the infotainment home screen, touch Settings
>Vehicle >Power Door Locks.
Lockout Protection
When locking is requested with the driver door
open and the vehicle is on or in accessory mode,
all the doors will lock and then the driver door
will unlock.
If the vehicle is off and locking is requested
while adoor is open, when all doors are closed
the vehicle will check for remote keys inside.
If aremote key is detected and the number
of remote keys inside has not reduced, the
driver door will unlock and the horn will sound
three times.
This can be manually overridden by pressing
and holding Q on the power door lock switch.
Safety Locks
Ch
ild Safety Locks prevent passengers from
opening the rear doors from inside the vehicle,
as well as lock out motion for the second row
seats. To adjust the second row seats in the
vehicle, see Second Row Seats 345.
There are three paths to access and activate/
deactivate the Child Safety Locks from the front
center display screen:

Controls > Doors & Windows > Child Safety
Locks >Off or On
It is recommended to turn child safety locks on
when achild restraint is present in the second
row seats.
Rear Control Lock prevents rear passengers
from using the rear center display screen.
To activate/deactivate the Rear Control Lock,
on the front center display screen select
Controls >Safety >Rear Control Lock >On
or Off.
