Why does my GMV Control Unit system run irregularly and inaccurately?
    • A
      Amanda MorrisAug 12, 2025
If your GMV Control Unit system runs irregularly and inaccurately, it might be due to incorrect basic parameters. You should verify (using menu 5) that the values set comply with the effective system data, particularly checking values 5.5 Pstat MIN and 5.6 Pstat MAX.

What to do if my GMV NGV A3 starts with irregular acceleration?
    • Y
      yobrienAug 16, 2025
If your GMV Control Unit system starts in the upward direction with an irregular acceleration, characterized by a brief burst before returning to the correct acceleration, the starting time may be incorrect. To resolve this, increase the value of menu point 6.8 to delay the opening of the oil output line.

Why does my GMV NGV A3 Control Unit have an abrupt departure in the up direction?
    • O
      olivia79Aug 20, 2025
If the GMV Control Unit system experiences an abrupt departure in the upward direction, running fast for a portion of the travel before slowing and returning to the correct speed, it could be that the motor starts before receiving the RUN signal. To fix this, verify that the RUN and RDY signals comply with section 2.3.3, and use menu 1.4 (S0123DICA) to check that all signals are correctly received. Also, use menu 1.5 (1234YND) to ensure signals are sent correctly to and from the card. Ensure the motor doesn't start before the VS (up command), RUN, or Out 4=UP signals (if used).

What to do if my GMV NGV A3 stops over or under the landing level?
    • R
      Ricky DelacruzAug 25, 2025
If your GMV Control Unit system stops over or under the landing level when the floor distance is reduced (less than 1.8m), it might be arriving at the landing in nominal speed (Vo) instead of intermediate speed V1 because the intermediate speed set is too high. Verify that the card receives the speed signal V1 (menu 1.4 S0123DICA). If the card does not receive the signal, check the signal flow from the control panel and repair the error. If the card receives the signal, decrease the intermediate speed V1 parameter (in up direction menu 6.2, in down direction menu 7.2, with a recommended value of 0.3 m/s) and/or increase the deceleration distance.

Why does my GMV NGV A3 not decelerate correctly?
    • M
      mary86Aug 27, 2025
If the GMV Control Unit system does not decelerate correctly, it may be due to speed signals (V0, V1, or V2) not aligning with section 3.5, or the magnet position being incorrect. Verify (using menu 1.4 S0123DICA) that the status of the speed signal V0 changes from 1 to 0 when the car enters the deceleration zone. Also, check that parameters 4.9, 4.10, 4.11, and 4.12 are correctly set (default = 0); adjust if necessary.

    Stacey ScottAug 31, 2025
Why does my GMV NGV A3 run only with low speed?
    • J
      Jorge OliverAug 31, 2025
If your GMV Control Unit system runs only at low speed, the card may not be receiving the speed signal (V0, V1, V2), or it may be receiving the speed signal after the direction signal (VS, D). Verify (using menu 1.4 S0123DICA) that the card receives the speed and direction signals. If the card does not receive any signal, check the signal flow from the control panel and repair the error.

How to fix a GMV Control Unit system that doesn't start but the pump works?
    • R
      Robert CookSep 4, 2025
If your GMV Control Unit system doesn't start but the pump works, it could be that the card isn't receiving the VS signal from the control panel, or the control panel isn't receiving/recognizing the RUN signal from the card. Verify in Menu 1.4 if the card receives the VS signal from the control panel. Also, verify that the RDY and RUN signals are according to the scheme 2.3.3.

What to do if GMV NGV A3 runs slowly and stops without deceleration?
    • C
      Christopher DeleonSep 8, 2025
If the GMV Control Unit system runs slowly in the up and down direction and stops immediately without deceleration, the Menu 5.12 might be set to “Install,” causing the system to run only in inspection speed. The default parameter is “Install”. At the end of the installation, you must set the parameter 5.12 = “Normal”.
