Cleaning Cartridge
This procedure is not considered routine
maintenance. Perform only when there is a
loss in performance that cannot be fixed by
normal flushing of the gun. If problem still
persists, replace the cartridge. See
Replacing Cartridge on page 13.
1. Relieve pressure. See Pressure
Relief Procedure
, page 5. Engage
trigger lock (15).
2. Remove cartridge (2) following the
steps 3-6 of Replacing Cartridge
on page 13.
3. Use 2 wrenches in the locations
shown. Disassemble the cartridge
(2).
4. Rinse out with hot running water,
use a soft brush to clean out the
internal passage of the cartridge
(2).
5. Thread the cartridge (2) back
together, torque to 30 in-lbs (3.4
N-m).
6. Install the cartridge (2) back into the
gun housing (1) following steps 7-9
of Replacing Cartridge on
page 13.
