Engine
NOTE: The
engine must be removed before the Field,
Clamp or Clutch Housing can be removed.
1. W
orking under the mounting plate (A) of the cart,
remove the screw (15), lockwasher (80) and wash
-
er (34) which hold the clutch housing (2) to the
cart. See Fig. 24.
2.
Still working under the mounting plate, remove the
two locknuts (61 or 100) and lockwashers (9), and
then pull the screws (14) out of the base of the
engine. Disconnect the red wire from the engine
lead (B). Disconnect the black and white wires (29)
from the field. Pull the wires carefully through the
grommets (66) before removing the engine. See
Fig. 24 and 25.
3.
Lift the engine carefully and place it on a work
bench.
