Also, ensure that the kettle temperature control dial is set to a temperature 25° F (13.9° C) higher than the material temperature. Check for disconnected gas lines and ensure that all hose fittings are connected and tightened, and inspect for gas leaks. Additionally, unplug any burner holes and lines that may be plugged.
